1987-1993 Mustang
The introduction of the '87 Mustang marked a turning point for Ford. Only slight visual changes from the '86 year, but under the hood was a different story. No longer was the 302 topped with a four-barrel carburator, but rather Electronic Fuel Injection pumped the GT model to 225 horsepower. While an economic recession hurt sales figures, this era of Mustang would undoubtedly become the most popular amongst performance enthusiasts for over the next decade. |

There surely isn't enough room in this box to detail all that's gone into this little monster. Maybe it looks stock at first glance which was the way I intended it as I wanted it to be a sleeper. But that Boss 363 and the lopey idle just give it away. Nothing is stock except the body. Engine, suspension, subframes, axle, 4 wheel discs, 17" Nitto's. 1500 watt state of the art stereo which turned out to be a waste because I'd rather hear that wonderful engine. No stone left unturned, not a penny spared. But, in a short race, she'll run with just about anything including Ferrari's, Lambo's AMG's |

Really the only thing special about this car is that it is 100% original and in showroom condition. I bought her from the original owner. What's so unusual about this car is that nobody has ever messed with it. I am tempted to make a lightly blown sleeper out of her :-) |

This car has been gutted will be fitted with a v8 powertrain. Got some GT40p heads, want Roush 180's. Got 4 SBF's here, maybe use the beefier '67 block w/ solid cam, 40p heads & pop-up pistons.....
Right now i just got some things in the mail: Battle boxes, and lower tork box plates.... That way the stuff thats gonna break aint gonna be the "chassis" or the bits of subframes.... |

This is my new project for the next few years. I have converted over to 5-lug and discs all around. Full Maximum Motorsport suspension; coil overs, bilstein shocks and struts; panhard bar; torque arm; tubular A-arms etc.... I am using the BF Goodrich R1's(super sticky). I have also had 9inch ends welded on the 8.8 and upgraded to 31spline with 3:73 gears. The car is fun to drive and feels like its on rails when i turn at 100mph+. I will update later. Will |
