Ranchero
The Ranchero was produced from 1957 through 1979. This unique vehicle was the first car with a truck bed. In the 23 years of total production, there were a total of 508,355 units produced. Chevrolet proceeded to try and duplicate their own version of the Ranchero in 1959, but the Ranchero was the original "car truck".

I've had this truck for over 25 yearas and not long ago I pulled the 351M out due to the "Death Knock" and decided to build it. I happen to read the article "Down & Dirty" by John Newman and it set the gears turning. Now with all the pieces in place for the motor I am on to the trans and the differential. I need some help with the differential as it is a bit too wide for what I want and it needs to have a Locker due to all the launch it has now. If you have any suggestions shoot them my way. Keep On Truckin!
