1969-1970 Mustang
The body on 1969 Mustangs was altogether different and reflected the first major change in the five year old line. The Mach 1 was introduced as a variation of the fastback of previous years. V8 power was installed in 81.5% of all '69 Mustangs. Mustangs were now all-out perforamance machines with the introduction of the Boss 302. Styling was not much different for 1970. The most potent power plant for the 1970 Mustang was the 429. |

Original 1970 Mach 1 Mustang turned bracket drag car. 3450 lb. w/ driver, ½ tank gas, 351w, C6 auto, eagle rods, stock crank, 2 bolt block, SRP pistons, un-ported victor jr. heads, air gap manifold, retro K289 cam, 1075 CFM TMP Carbs Premier Series Carb. 11.5 x 28 M/T ET street slicks. Runs Low 13s at 105.5 mph at 9000’ D Elev at Bandimere in Colorado. Accumulated Championship contentions, track records for consistency, qualified div. 5 2 yrs running. This is "BeeStang" a 1969 Mach1 Mustang sporting a Big Block 428 (an original 351W/Fmx car) mated to a C6 tranny. Power then is sent down to the 9" rear end by a 4" aluminum drive shaft into a 3.25 gear set.
The 428 was professionally rebuilt just over a year ago using many go-fast goodies. Like- Edelbrock aluminum heads using Comp Cams roller rockers being held by OrCams rocker arm shaft support system. With the Comp cams Dual Energy pattern cam with 540 lift and 286 duration revs like a small block going to 6000 RPM with just a rap of the gas pedal. Ohh Yeahh !! |

heres my last project about 3 years ago I had sold it to a guy in Minn, which I regret it was a lot of work about a 4 year peoject. The car was painted prowler orange pearl and it was awesome. Thanks for looking I hope the guy in Min is happy with her |

Wanted to make a cool restomod. Had the car repainted original Grabber Green. Engine: bored .30 over, stock cj block, crank and rods; TRW forged pistons, Crane custom grind roller cam with adjustable roller rockers, stock aluminum PI intake, Holley 800 cfm double pumper. Other mods: Tremec TKO 5-speed, aluminum flywheel and water pump, SSBC power front/rear disc brakes, Koni shocks, Total Control subframe connectors, Crane HI-6 ignition, Shelby rollbar, Procar seats. FPA Headers, 2-1/2in. exhaust with Flowmasters, a 9 in. Currie 3.89 posi, Vintage 45's wheels with BFG Comp ZR 245/50/16 tires. |
