Mercury
Traditionally Mercury's were a bit more luxurious than their Ford counterparts, but almost every Mercury was built on a Ford chassis and powered by a Ford drivetrain. Entirely accepted by all at Ford club events, Mercury products are a large part of the FordMuscle readership. |

A Cougar that I decided to turn into a drag car. AFR 225 headed 408w and a c-4 trans. with a narrowed 9"rear end w/4.56 gears and a full spool. The car has a custom grill, 8 point roll bar, ladder bar and coil over rear suspension, B&M Quicksilver shifter, and a few other mods to get it dowm the track. Has also been a best of 6.10 @ 111mph in the 1/8th |

This is my project car, it is not running yet. I drove this car for the first six years after I bought it in 2000 to go to college in. After six years and 210K miles, it started blowing past the rings so it got sidelined for a long time. We were finally able to put the engine together, but ran out of money before we could get it started. Here's hoping that's not too far off. |
