1967-1968 Mustang
By 1967, competition in the pony car market was noticeably stiffer. An all new body was used in '67 but styling remained the same. By the end of 1967 Mustang accounted for 6.2% of all cars produced in the United States. Only subtle appearance changes were made to the '68 model but Ford now offered a 302 and 390 in the Mustang. The 427 was also offered for a short while to be replaced by the 428. |

I have owed car since 1989. Undertook full rebuild which was finished 1 year ago.Rebuilt 289. Bored 30 over. Added 570 holley and Edelbrock performer intake and slightly warmer cam. Headman shorty headers.Changed to 3.25 diff gears.Going to go with a Eaton true-track shortly.Sick of one wheel burn outs!!!! Have added Gear Vendors overdrive unit.Cars drives real nice but starting to get HP bug. Maybe a347 stroker or 363 if budget allows[if i can get it past the wife Haha].I am a New Zealand ford fanatic and have always loved Mustangs |
