A predecessor to the musclecar era, the Galaxie was Ford's fullsize competitor. Introduced in 1959 and running through the musclecar era until 1972, the Galaxie and its' various submodels produced many powerful machines. |

The car new was priced at $3,003.23 and has a current NADA average value of $12,040.00. There were 877,127 examples produced of the 18 models available in the 1967 Ford Full-Size lineup, but there were only 19,068 Ford Galaxie 500 convertible produced. The factory 289ci Challenger V8 was replaced with a 240ci I6 at some time, and the factory Candyapple Red (not a type o) paint was replaced with Wimbledon White. |

ought it in August of 2001, finally have my dream car. As far as I can tell, the vehicle has been in Minnesota all of its life and is in great condition. 429 bored .040 over with mid range cam, Edlebrock Performer intake, Holley Street Avenger carb. Crites Headers 2 1/2 inch exhaust with Mellow Tone mufflers.
Converted front drum brakes to disc brakes.
New front end bushings and ball joints installed.
Next comes redoing the carpet and repainting the exterior. |
