A predecessor to the musclecar era, the Galaxie was Ford's fullsize competitor. Introduced in 1959 and running through the musclecar era until 1972, the Galaxie and its' various submodels produced many powerful machines. |

My recently purchased 1964 Galaxie 500xl. Had a new 351M and c6 overhauled and installed less than 500mi ago. Will be installing a Weiand 142 Supercharger soon after I get my Teardrop hood for it. Will be shoving some bigger tires in the rear for those weekend drags. |

My first car bought in '77. Learned to drive in this car also. Then the owner sold it in early '75 and a note on the windshield was answered and 2 yrs later I had finally talked the people into selling it to me. It has a 390, Automatic with swingaway. White interior with white ragged out original top. Paint original with some missing. A few battle dents and scratches but survived my teenage driving years. After sitting for 20 yrs I finally have her in my possesion again and trying to get her back to being trustworthy. She is a car with an attitude problem but I still love her! |
