My first real project. It is a 99% original with 1965 California plates still on car. Powered by 390 4v. Cruise O Matic linked to a 9" with 3.00 open gears. Plans are to give the resto-mod performance, without changing the outside/inside character. Disc brakes courtesy of 78 Mercury Cougar. Weight will be steadily taken off with fiberglass and aluminum anywhere it will go. Love that big car look and feel, not the weight. Whatever weight that just can't go, will be taken to the rear wheels if possible. |

This is my 1967 Galaxie. It has a 289 with ported heads, headers .500 lift cam, headers and MSD ignition. Not a powerhouse but keeps things a little interesting. You might see me cruising around the Kansas City area. The most unique feature on the car has to be the interior, some love it, some hate it all I know is it is fun. |

I became the third owner of my 1965 Galaxie 500 in 1999. It was built at Mahwah in April of '65 was sold new in Dannemora, NY four months later (a '49 Ford was traded in on it). It has the 289, Cruise-O-Matic, radio, wheel covers, padded dash, and white walls. No power assists, no windshield washer. It has 71,000 miles and is 100% stock. Hazel (it's named after the original owner) drove to and participated in the Ford Motor Company Centennial Celebration in Dearborn in 2003. This is the car that inspired me to create LOVEfords. |
