Galaxie
A predecessor to the musclecar era, the Galaxie was Ford's fullsize competitor. Introduced in 1959 and running through the musclecar era until 1972, the Galaxie and its' various submodels produced many powerful machines. |

I purchase the car in April, 1990, for $600.00. The owner had kept the car in his garage for 11 years with dreams of restoring it some day.
I replaced the 390 engine with a 428 from a 1966, Mercury Marauder and changed the transmission to a C-6 out of a 1968 Ford Galaxie.
The interior was in real bad shape and I had it replaced with an original Ford vinyl material pattern. I had the drivers seat back rest modified to achieve a firm back support, especially in the lumbar area.
I changed the color from the original Aztec Gold to Medium Wedgewood Blue from a 1999 Ford Expedition. |

Car was headed to the crusher and I decided it needed another chance. Now it makes a great everyday driver. It has a 2000 Watt system in it to make the drive comfortable and new interior to make you relaxed. Car has Centerline wheels with knockoffs custom made to fit the wheel centercap. All the trim on the body was stripped of the anodizing and straightened out then polished. The colors are Arcadian Blue and Wimbledon White. The whole car has been lowered two inches all around. Rear tires are 255/70 with front being 215/60 |

I picked this up a couple weeks ago. It had been stored away for the past 20 years. It is a totally stock, numbers matching 1970 Ford XL with a 429 4V with cruise-o-matic transmission. The car was repainted back in the 80's, the interior is just about perfect (other than the dash cracks) and it runs like a top. I LOVE this car! |

YES...it's got a rare 428 “Q code” engine. The car has 68,500 original miles. Transmission (C-6) was rebuilt 400 miles ago and it has a new 4.10 rear differential. This car has amazing torque!!! It’s in near perfect condition. The engine is flashy with a dress up kit and the interior is in perfect condition. This car produces 345 HP stock. The car has an after market radio installed under the dash and a competition amp with sub in trunk. MUST SEE/ MUST DRIVE!!! |
