A predecessor to the musclecar era, the Galaxie was Ford's fullsize competitor. Introduced in 1959 and running through the musclecar era until 1972, the Galaxie and its' various submodels produced many powerful machines. |

YES...it's got a rare 428 “Q code” engine. The car has 68,500 original miles. Transmission (C-6) was rebuilt 400 miles ago and it has a new 4.10 rear differential. This car has amazing torque!!! It’s in near perfect condition. The engine is flashy with a dress up kit and the interior is in perfect condition. This car produces 345 HP stock. The car has an after market radio installed under the dash and a competition amp with sub in trunk. MUST SEE/ MUST DRIVE!!! |

Project update: Finally got it painted bumpers and all(Triple Black), Shaved Handles with remote poppers, 95% of all chrome removed (even side view mirrors gone!) Louvered Hood, 2"lowered in front, Pioneer CD deck with 3" mids in front, 6X9 in rear and 2 10" Sud in trunk (300W amp)all Infinity. XM radio also. Torque Thrust II Wheels (6.5 X 15 front, 8 X 15 rear. Next stop upholstery shop. Stay tuned. |

This is a pic of my car when I sold it in 66'.It was the NHRA AA/S national class record holder and 65 & 66 NHRA DIV 7 TOP STOCK POINTS champion.I am going to run it in vintage drag races and a few Good Guys shows.Should be ready in a few months.With all the goodies we can use now,it should run in the low 10's or high 9's.Will let you know how it turns out. |

Nice original car imported from California. Only upgrade was a Pertronix II electronic ignition and a tune up. Runs smooth and accelerates quick enough.. |

Chestnut is the color, Purchased by me in 1984, solid west coast car built in LA, spent it's first 20 yrs. on the west coast now it's home is New England. Powered by a 427/8V low riser, cast iron headers, 4 Speed Toploader, 4.11 Locker. Factory AM/FM w/reverb, 8000 RPM Rotunda factory tach, front disc brakes, 7" Crager S/S with 235/70R/15 Front , 285/70R/15 Rear Goodrich T/A. New paint in 1990. Car is driven about 4000 mi. yr. |

Originally a 390 car, but now with a matching date code 427 R code engine, backed by a 4 speed Top Loader.
Has been painted, and interior is done.
Engine has been rebuilt. Car just needs a little bit of finishing. |

1964 Galaxie 500. Pagoda Green white top, black XL interior. 390/417. Edelbrock Aluminum heads, roller rockers, 427 cast long tube headers, tripower, tremic 5-speed, 3:89 gears, 2.5" Magnaflow duals, H pipe. Restored 11 years ago when I was 20.
Car has A LOT of power. But it is still built correctly. Driving very mildly, best MPG 21. |
