Fairlane
The Fairlane was introduced in 1955 as Ford's fullsize model. In 1962 the Fairlane was reborn as Ford's entry into the competitive intermediate musclecar market. With lighter weight than the Galaxie but with the same powerplants, the Fairlane was a force to be reckon with on the street and the drag strip. |

This is a rescued car. All sprayfoam, bondo and woodscrews.
I bought this on Oct 30, 2006 at the stroke of midnight. Couldnt see squat, didnt need to. I just wanted something to work on with my pops. Im doing 90% of the unfortunately.
It's a learning process, though. I have no experience with American V8's. It's a 65 289. So far I have replaced the lifters with Hydros, Crane cam 272-284. The heads are ported and polished. Crane cro mo valve springs. It has a 600 Edelbrock carb and performer intake. I have replaced the timing chain and gears, electric fan. 3:55 gears. C4 with a shift kit. |
