1965-1966 Mustang
To produce an extremely popular car, with virtually no competition. That is exactly what Ford did when it began marketing the Mustang in April 1964. So, with little effort a new car was concocted using the Falcon chassis. A legend was born and the Mustang scored a world record of 418,000 sales by the end its first year of existence. |

Fully restored 66 Coupe. 331 Stroker engine with manual trans, new interior trim, all running gear removed and rebuilt and painted, all new suspension with polyurethane bushes.
Bare metal paint work finished in Violet to Blue pearlescent flip 2 pack paint. |

I have owned this Mustang for over 24 years and we have been through a lot together. She is getting ready to hit the road again after a 11 year hiatus. Catch ya on the boulevard! |

408 stroker, C4 built by Performance Automatics, 750 CFM Holley, Alum Edlerbrock heads, Air gap intake, Hedman headers, Double roller rockers, comp cams 230 in/ext .512 lift, Msd ignition, 10.5 to 1 compression, duel 3in exhaust with super 40 flowmasters, 1 1/4 front sway bar, 7/8 rear sway bar, eibach 1in drop front springs, KYB shocks, shelby relocated front A-arms, 16x7 torq thrust II front wheels w/ 225/50R16 Toyo Proxies FZ4, 16x8 torq thrust II rear wheels w/ 245/50R16 Toyo Proxies FZ4. Posi rear 3.00 gears and can still spin the tires all through first and second gear. |

1966 Shelby gt 350 turned NHRA BB/gasser in early 1967 with alien power. now has correct FoMoCo power.chop top, chrome CAE straight axle,fiberglass tilt front end, 1957 oldsmobile rear end,Corvair steering box ,and Hemi Charger tailights were installed way back then. In 2000 it was restored with the new Ford motor and trans. i have owned it and raced since.A fuel problem slowed the car to 11:20 at 109 1/4 mile recently at Richmond VA nostalgia meet in may.But what a rush to make a smooth 1/4 mile pass with a .002 RT. May sell due to economy,but not lack of FUN! |

Sitting in a barn for 4 years right after a fresh solid-lifter 289 was dropped in. New wheels, exhaust and chrome engine bits don't look so new though. For some reason, they did the cowl and 1/4s but neglegted the framerails and fuged the floors big time. So, I'm fixing that mess then it goes down to bare metal for a new coat of red, some white GT stripes, and a little interior work. Resale red? I sure hope so! |
